Part of Bristol's History
Orchard Street was built as a series of Merchant's houses in the late 18th century. Prior to this the site was an apple orchard, that is believed to have been maintained by the local Monks of the Abbey (known today as Bristol Cathedral). It's even said that some of the first cider in Bristol came from Orchard Street!
During the 20th century The Bristol Municipal Charities obtained the properties and most of the houses changed from residential occupiers to offices. In 1997 The Orchard Street Business Centre was established when it bought 13 and 14 Orchard Street. Due to it's phenomenal success in 1999 it expanded to include 25 - 29 Orchard Street, 25 - 28 Hobbs Lane and 29/30 Denmark St.
Today The Orchard Street Business Centre comprises of 85 offices, within this historical site. The Business Centre is operated by fully committed and trained staff who are available to help with the day to day needs of running your business. The friendly on site team along with the varied range of Businesses located in the Centre, make Orchard Street an interesting and vibrant place to base your Business.
